Background

From Regenerative Knowledge Commons

In the Beginning...

FCiências.ID's regenerative design team, as part of both the Community Climate Coaches (CCC) & Activating Community Transformation (iACT) projects, has initiated the development an open-source, wiki-based commons for collectively (re)generating knowledge we are calling the Regenerative Knowledge Commons (RKC).

The Projects

Each project is composed of partners from across Europe and each intends to serve an emerging community of practice.

The Prequal

Indeed, RKC is poised to serve existing and emerging communities of practice whose main aim is to catalyze systemic transformation in communities of place. This was the motivation for creation of the Communities for Future Knowledge Commons wiki, which gave impetus and inspiration for RKC. It was an amazing initial first step towards meeting a need that is still quite prescient.

RKC owes a debt of gratitude to all who's efforts went into its development, we have learned tremendously from that initail experience and it has informed the design of RKC, which we will integrate into our radically evolved design as an active space and living repository for mutual co-creation and co-learning.
