Global Ecovillage Network Europe We are the European Ecovillage Network: a network of intentional communities, ecovillages and national ecovillage networks working together to create a regenerative world. secretariat@gen-europe.org Global Ecovillage Network of Europe e.V. Annika Alex GEN Europe is the European network for ecovillages and sustainable communities. Our vision is of a conscious, resilient and sustainable Europe where ecovillage and community values and lifestyles are widely adopted. Since 1996, it’s been our mission to support and connect the ecovillage movement, encourage ecovillage development, educate for sustainability and ultimately create a world where empowered local communities are at the forefront of creating a fairer society that regenerates the earth, and ourselves. We are powered by our members: over 100 ecovillages and aspiring ecovillage projects, and 18 national ecovillage networks in 26 countries and counting. Together, we educate, advocate and innovate, through events, courses, meetings and projects. GEN Europe is part of the Global Ecovillage Network: an ever-growing network of thousands of regenerative communities and initiatives that bridges cultures, countries, and continents through its five regional networks and its international youth branch, NextGEN. We’re a non-profit organisation, and our day-to-day functions are served by the Secretariat, a staff team that takes care of daily operations and enacting the organisation’s strategy. Guiding the Secretariat is our oversight body, the Council, who are elected every two years to hold our vision by the General Assembly. The General Assembly, made up of all full member ecovillages, makes proposals, debates and approves decisions and strategic direction for the organisation. Besides participating in the General Assembly annually, members are involved in GEN Europe’s work through Working Groups, such as Advocacy, National Networks, Youth and Projects. As a regional member of the Global Ecovillage Network, GEN Europe representatives take part in GEN’s general assembly and board, sharing news from the region and helping steer the organisation. True to ecovillage values of participatory, shared and transparent governance, we aim to work sociocratically, which means creating a governance structure based on consent decision making, self organising principles and feedback loops. It is “governance by peers”, a process for creating harmonious organisations, based on equivalence, efficiency, flexibility and transparency. The key value is that all individuals are acknowledged and collective intelligence is a source of inspiration and creativity. This is a continuous learning process and work in progress, held by the Governance working group, made up of experts in Sociocracy. __NOCACHE__ * [https://gen-europe.org/ GEN EU website]__NOCACHE__ * [https://ecovillage.org/ GEN International website] Potential practice We are regenerative-curious Global Ecovillage Network Europe

LÚCIDA - Pensamento Regenerativo para Ações Claras We are an organization that manages systemic change processes with cumulative experience in facilitation, creative leadership, and regenerative design and development. We are driven by the human capacity to harmonize our activity with the ecological processes that sustain life. lucidathinking@gmail.com LÚCIDA - Pensamento Regenerativo para Ações Claras 2020-12-01 Constança Belchior =WHAT WE DO= WE MANAGE CHANGE PROCESSES WITH A FOCUS ON REGENERATIVE DEVELOPMENT At Lúcida, we share the understanding of how living systems - such as nature, culture and the human being - operate, and we provide thinking, design and cooperation in order to develop capabilities - such as critical and systemic thinking, flexibility of perspective, and conscious participation - so that each entity (whether a person, team, organization or community) can better manage itself and its context, leading to more enlightened and creative choices in achieving its goals and greater purposes. We promote the development of methodologies that enable reviewing the status quo, redefine purposes for the future, build strategic capabilities in people, teams and leadership, and co-create living processes that generate new perspectives based on a systemic understanding of your challenge. This work allows one to understand what needs to be done to better align personal and organizational development with the values and results one aims to achieve in the world. It also allows triggering clear actions or dynamics that can generate new value for the larger system where one operates and from which one benefits (value chain, sector, territory, community…). ===Fields of intervention=== *Regenerative thinking and design (of projects and processes) *Strategic leadership and management *Capacity-building in critical thinking and collaboration *Design and facilitation of participatory processes *Organizational culture *Individual and team mentorship and coaching *Local and community development *Education in regenerative development ==Our services== We work with mental processes and collaborative tools that enable us to see both externally - our behaviors and actions - and internally - our thinking and inner life that influence the way we feel and act. We design services and deliverables tailored to the unique needs and characteristics of our customers, partners and the systems in which they operate. We do not believe in providing answers for those we serve. Rather, we surface questions and patterns that promote awareness and learning with the aim of developing agency in one’s thinking, actions and the results achieved. Below are some examples of how we have worked with teams, organizations, consortia, communities or networks: - Transformative and future purposes definition - Reflexive and strategic capacity-building in project leaders and teams - Pattern identification and systematization that limit and enhance the desired change - Systemic sense-making and insight generation that support key interventions in the organization - Mentoring, facilitation and training sessions for leaders and/or teams - Design and capacity-building of collaborative processes, both internal and external with partners and stakeholders ==Approach and methodology== ===What guides our thinking, design and action=== At Lúcida, we have a well-defined core way of thinking, being and acting, which reflects the change that we believe is fundamental to enact in the world. This change is what we seek to catalyze with our work. MAIN BELIEF From a mechanical perspective that sees the world as parts, linear, controllable and anthropocentric -> Into a living systems perspective that sees the world as a whole, interdependent, complex, dynamic, emergent and ecocentric. WORK APPROACH From solving specific problems -> Into seeing and enabling systemic potential. From focussing on doing -> Into integrating doing, being and will. From transactional relationships -> Into mutual evolution relationships. ACTING PRINCIPLES From being consultants and telling how to act -> Into supporting the development of new thinking and capabilities. From working with abstract and generic concepts and ideas -> Into using people’s and organization’s concrete experience and context. From importing thinking and replicate good practices -> Into rigorously co-creating thinking that is alive and can lead to new pathways ==What we believe in== EVOLVE CAPABILITIES BEYOND “DOING GOOD” FOR PEOPLE AND PLANET We believe that in order to achieve prosperity in the 21st century, within the means of a living planet, it’s not enough to aspire to more sustainability - understood as a set of environmental, social and economic measures that aim to balance growth and mitigation/neutralization of negative impacts - nor to innovate/decarbonize the economy. We must go beyond “doing good” to people and the planet for a just transition. In order to radically innovate how we operate in the sectors, markets, places where we work and live, and in the communities to which we belong, it is essential to regenerate our way of thinking about the world and develop capacities to evolve counting on People, Planet and Society as a whole. HUMANS HAVE THE CAPACITY FOR SELF-DETERMINATION Inspired by the way living systems work and the principles of Regenerative Development, we believe that the human being has the capacity for self-determination, discernment and evolution, and for this it is essential to create the conditions that enable the generation and nourishment of change and transformation processes. Feeding the continuous development of their potential, each person will have a unique and unrepeatable contribution to the organization as a whole, making him or herself irreplaceable. When well implemented, a change process that aims to evolve the capacity for self-determination has the power to trigger the regeneration not only of the organization, but also of the sectors, territories, and social and ecological systems within which it operates and relies on.

Proteus Initiative approaching an ecology of consciousness proteusinitiative@gmail.com Nuno da Silva The Proteus Initiative works holistically, following an organic approach first developed by JW von Goethe. More depends on the way we think, on the way we see, and on our ability to open our own selves, than we may imagine. Our own stories are entwined in every movement of shift or reversal that is manifested in the world. We bring this understanding and method to the sphere of social and environmental change, activism and stewardship. Our work is an attempt to realise the consequences of true participation, of socio-ecological complexity, and of an emerging consciousness that holds freedom and responsibility as a generative polarity in the quest for wholeness. <div>[http://www.proteusinitiative.org/about-us#our-proactive-work Our 'Proactive' Work]</div><blockquote>... involves offering programmes which address themselves to social issues, concerns and possibilities which shape our current and future context and realities.</blockquote>We offer active space for engagement in creative and generative ways, in environments which lend themselves to an encounter with the unboundedness of the outer wild, and hence with inner stretching towards a deepened and renewed sense of self, as well as an experience and understanding of a larger perspective; always towards the connection between our inner nature and outer circumstance. These programmes take many forms, but always engage participants actively, encourage them to intimately encounter other (both human and nature), help them to develop their capacity to pay attention and to work with living ways of seeing, and invite an immersion of self. Enlivened, dynamic conversation weaves through all our work. <div>[http://www.proteusinitiative.org/about-us#our-responsive-work Our 'Responsive' Work]<div><blockquote>... aims to increase the ability to observe and to understand – with greater breadth and depth – the realities of people's situations and contexts.</blockquote>To reveal the animating energies that may empower, or the dynamics and patterns that limit and hold a situation (and ourselves) captive. And to gain the courage and imagination to move beyond. We work as consultants to social organisations, social formations, communities, leaders and practitioners who are concerned with questions of social renewal. We seek to help clients develop the insights which may enable their efforts to cohere in more meaningful ways, to work beyond their lists of issues into a realm of reflective learning and renewed meaning. To find the sources of their possibilities and constraints and to move into the arena of social creativity once more. With these parameters in mind, we undertake organisational interventions, leadership and management, mentoring and coaching, community development facilitation, evaluations and research, development of strategies and systems, relationship facilitation and learning/reflection processes. We school practitioners in the requisite understanding and faculties required by this new approach. </div></div>

The Emergence Network We are a constellation of humans and nonhumans working together trans-locally to curate projects, rituals, conversations and events that nurture senses of the otherwise via practices that trouble the traditional boundaries of agency and possibility. INFO@EMERGENCENETWORK.ORG Nuno da Silva We seek to shock outmoded modes of perception and action. We want to show how human bodies are changing, how whales and discarded pieces of gum are also ‘activists’, how remembering ancestry has political consequences, how thought is not a human feature, how bodies secrete time, and how slowing down in times of urgency makes sense in specific circumstances – especially now. The Emergence Network surfaces at a time when there seems to be a felt need for ‘alternative’ modes of engaging with our more troubling realities. What we offer are ways of diving into the cracks in our skins, processes that allow us notice that there are other items on the menu. That there are other places of power. Our work is to make more room available for movement – to emancipate action and responsiveness from its narrow humanist confines. Our approach takes for granted the fact that humans can no longer be centralized in our conceptions of change – and that, instead, we must begin to take into consideration the eco-cultural environments that are the conditions for our acting. Our work is to facilitate conversations, curate assemblies, foster trans-disciplinary and trans-professional interactions, convene events that mobilize people into exploring the occluded and the invisible, and nurture regenerative practices that allow for other compelling questions and values to be articulated in the face of crisis.
