Angel Matilla I am passionate about holistic approaches to regenerative lifestyles and the transition of the current society towards those. angel@gen-europe.org Since 2017, Angel has been living in the community [http://arterrabizimodu.org/ Arterra Bizimodu] and working in the GEN Office Team as IT Manager to help strengthen GEN Europe’s IT sovereignty by means of promoting self-hosted free open source software (FOSS) throughout the network to cover our collective IT needs and wishes. He has a telecommunications engineering background and 10 years of experience in developing and integrating software and managing technical teams. In 2011 he started developing an interest in the limits of growth, the fossil fuels’ peak and the non-sustainable practices of the current society. Since then he has been researching other ways of solving the polycrisis by living life, in more regenerative, self-sufficient, resilient and communal ways.

Humberto Mendes Dreamer, Apprentice and Weaver... humbertojoaomendes@gmail.com Olá!

Mario Yanez I am a practitioner-scholar: researching what it means to be fully human; developing the practice and conditions of regenerative commoning. Mario@yanez.earth I care deeply about what makes us fully human, what that really means, the potential of what that could mean. I believe it has something to do with how we relate to each other and the web of Life. Currently our mode of being human is toxic for our ecosystems and the planet. My path began the day my daughter was born (24 years ago). To date it has been marked with many social experiments, prototypes, off-the-wall interventions, alternate ways that we might show up as human, ways that amplify the Life-sustaining capacity of our biosphere. Through my whole-systems design practice, I've gained much lived experience. This next phase, I feel called to deepen my understanding about this Universe-of-Complexity from which I continue learning so much, identify the patterns that ought to continue (and those that ought not),and share, share, share. As I get older, I am becoming clearer and clearer on which games I want to play, and which I have absolutely no interest in participating. I am in RKC because I believe we all must work in nodal ways—to be strategic on how we use our energies—to accelerate and amplify transformative change particularly in human social systems, which are clearly misaligned with natural living systems. As a founding steward of the [https://rkc.communitiesforfuture.org/Special:FormEdit/Person/CommPractice:Regenerative_Knowledge_Commons Regenerative Knowledge Commons], I believe it is essential that our collective efforts become visible and tangible to each other and to the “outside” world. My participation here is bringing forth a new possibility: to actualize the potential of ''regenerative commoning''.

Renata Ferraz [brief phrase about Renata here] rezarref@gmail.com I’m a person that started making authentic choices at the age of 15. I won a scholarship for an exchange student program during one year that took me to Australia in 1991. My perception of life and the world became wide at an early age. At 25 I followed my heart again and went into my first spiritual journey that took me to Asia this time. Borobudur in Indonesia for a month retreat with a group, followed by India and Nepal for six months by myself. Back from that experience, I stayed less than a year in my hometown São Paulo, Brasil. In the beginning of 2001, I went to a retreat at [https://khadroling.org/ Khadro Ling], a dharma center in the south of Brasil from [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chagdud%20Tulku%20Rinpoche Chagdud Rinpoche] and lived in this community as a volunteer for 4 years. In the end of 2004, I moved to Porto Alegre, the capital of the south of Brazil, close to the dharma center, for a smooth transition back to the ordinary world. There I got a job as executive assistant for a cinema producer and after 2 years I moved to Rio de Janeiro to follow that career in the audiovisual area. After some commercial films in Rio, I stayed for 6 years at [https://www.futura.org.br/ Canal Futura] and took care of a special program that promoted the audiovisual market at the time, encouraging different narratives and freedom of expression. In 2012 I did the [https://www.gaiaeducation.org/ Gaia Education] program , Design for Sustainability and in 2014 I became a mother. The most amazing experience of my life, even though I have plenty of them. In the beginning of 2018, we decided to move to Portugal, when I started another new life experience that I'll will write more about soon. regenerative-curious Renata Ferraz Renata Ferraz No

Existing Practitioner More than half my work is in regenerative field Regenerative is an aspect of ecological sustainability, in that ecological systems that are sustainable have inherently regenerative characteristics and self-managing systems / responses - which is what gives the systems resilience. I fully understand that people use the terms 'regenerative' and 'sustainability' in different ways and that mainstream use of the term 'sustainable' is largely inappropriate.
